You already know our motto: if it’s easy, we like it! If it’s easy and delicious – even better! This recipe basically combines everything we love, it’s prepared super fast and tastes yummy at the same time. The kids, boyfriends, husbands, parents or whoever you’re living with are going to love you for this one and you can prepare it in advance, so you always have a delicious sorbet to offer after dinner – or just in-between meals for those with a sweet tooth. Simply go grocery shopping, bring some frozen berries and oranges, add whiskey and egg whites and there you have your perfectly tasty dessert!
Here’s what you’ll need:
– 300 gr frozen berries
– 3cl whiskey
– a pinch of cinnamon
– juice from 1-2 fresh oranges
– 100 ml water
– 2 egg whites
– 30 gr caster sugar
Put the berries, orange juice, whiskey and water in a food processor and blend until smooth. Stir the mass with your ice cream machine until it starts to freeze. If you don’t have an ice cream machine, put your sorbet in a normal freezer and stir it every 30 minutes until it turns to ice and feels slushy. Then, whisk the egg whites until stiff and add the sugar to form a meringue. Carefully fold your stiff egg whites under the freezing berry mix and continue to freeze and stir until everything is completely frozen. Our tip: if you made the sorbet in advance, put it into the fridge 30 minutes before serving to soften it a bit.
