Book Review: Capture Your Style by Aimee Song

Bereits seit Jahren sind wir große Fans von Aimee Song und ihrem Blog Song of Style. Sie ist für uns nicht nur in Sachen Mode eine große Inspiration, sondern auch was ihre Persönlichkeit angeht. Darum liegt es auf der Hand, dass ihr erstes Buch “Capture Your Style” auch sofort bei uns einziehen musste. Besonders schön finden wir die Themenwahl rund um Instagram als Platform um sich und den persönlichen Stil zu portraitieren. Wir lieben Aimee’s Instagram Feed und finden es unglaublich sympathisch, dass sie ein bisschen aus dem Nähkästchen plaudert und ihre Tips und Tricks für gelungene Instagram Fotos in Form eines Buchs preisgibt.

Ehrlicherweise haben wir uns das Buch aus 2 Gründen gekauft. Erstens: Es ist von Aimee Song. Zweitens: Es ist hellrosa und macht sich gut auf dem Couchtisch. Überrascht waren wir dann allerdings vom wirklich gehaltvollen Inhalt. Unglaublich viele Tipps und wirkliches Know-How. Das Buch ist in 5 Kapitel aufgeteilt. Von Basics (“Camera Phone 101”) bis hin zu Profi-Wissen (“Working With Brands” oder “Pricing”) ist alles vorhanden. Viele schöne Bilder aber noch mehr informativer Text. Aimee verrät wirklich alles rund um das Thema Instagram und wir sind uns sicher, dass absolute jeder durch das Buch etwas Neues lernt oder entdeckt. Auch toll ist der persönliche Ansatz mit Stories zu Aimee’s Inspirationen, wie sie überhaupt zu dem gekommen ist was sie heute macht, welche Träume sie mit 7 hatte und wie lange sie gespart hat um für ihre Ausbildung als Innenarchitektin zu bezahlen.

Egal ob ihr euer InstaGame noch ein bisschen aufpolieren wollt oder Aimee einfach genauso gern mögt wie wir, “Capture Your Style” ist unserer Meinung nach ein richtig gelungenes Buch und tolles Lesematerial!

Stories of how her blog started, her passion of interior design and much more, make her personality shine through and the book one of a kind. We definitely love the book and especially with Christmas coming up next month, keep this in mind for your insta-savy girlfriends (or yourself).
