Breakfast is important, or at least so we’re told. And in all honesty, we love our big (late) breakfasts on the weekend, but during the week we sometimes catch ourselves running out of the house with nothing but a coffee in hand. However, it definitely makes sense to start the day with some nutrients and energy packed foods. Lately we’ve been trying our best to have a good breakfast with some fresh fruit, bircher müsli or a slice of whole wheat bread and some eggs. Today, we have prepared 3 quick and easy breakfast ideas for all you busy girls out there. These will take a maximum of 10 minutes out of your day, provide you with plenty of energy, and are all under 500 kcal. Which of our ideas is your favorite? What do you usually have for breakfast?
One of our favorite breakfast options is a smoothie to go. You can prep the ingredients the night before, so in the morning you’ll only need to throw everything into a blender for 60 seconds and you’re ready to run out the door. This is also a good option if you’re not an early eater, but get a little hungry around 10. Simply take it to the office, refrigerate and enjoy whenever you feel like. You’ll need: 1 banana, about 150gr. of frozen berries & 300 ml of orange juice. Blend until smooth.
Oatmeal With Bananas, Walnuts, Cinnamon & Honey:
This is the perfect winter breakfast – warm, filling, full of flavor and healthy! Mix 50gr. of rolled, shredded oats with about 100ml of water & microwave on high for about 60-90 seconds. Then add a splash of milk (optional) stir well and serve with chopped walnuts, a bit of cinnamon and drizzle with honey.
Easy Breakfast Muffins:
For everyone that preferes something hearty and savory for breakfast, this is perfection. Simple ingredients, no actual cooking, but a real meal! In a muffin pan, line 2 or 3 of the baking forms with butter. Then roll a piece of whole wheat toast and place in each form. Next, add a slice of lean turkey ham and crack an egg into the form. Season with salt & pepper and bake for around 15 minutes on 180°C. In the meantime, you can get ready & do your make-up, so you’re ready to head out the door right after breakfast!
