While we’re getting ready for all kinds of winter-y cocktails that include cinnamon, mulled wine, spices and other goodies for the cold season, we have one more refresher up our sleeve: the Pom-Bomb. An amazing and easy pomegranate cocktails with cucumber-infuded gin, that will definitely pass as healthy! Not only are pomegranate and cucumber super good for you, but since you’re only mixing the drink with soda, and are not adding any additional sweeteners, this will save you a few precious calories.
What you’ll need:
– fresh pomegranate seeds
– persian mini cucumbers (they’re a bit sweeter than the regular ones)
– 2cl gin per serving
– soda water
– plenty of ice
To prepare the cucumber-infused gin, you should get started at least a day in advance. In a mason jar (or other container that you can seal tightly) add lots of sliced cucumber and the gin. Keep it in the fridge for a day or so, shaking the jar occasionally to combine the cucumber and gin. Then, when you’re ready to serve the Pom-Bombs it literally only takes a minute to mix the drink. Prepare your glasses with fresh pomegranate seeds, lots of ice cubes and some sliced cucumber and simple pour the cucumber-gin into the glasses. Top off with soda water and you’re ready to serve a healthy cocktail.

This seems to be a really good and healthy drink, it’s just too bad I hate gin xD But I loved the idea of using pomegranate, one of my favorite fruits =D
Have a good Friday!

The Austrian Rose
Hi Rosie,
maybe give it a try with vodka, it may be a great alternative :)

Lecker!
