Zum heutigen Feiertag stimmen wir uns gedanklich schon mal auf unseren bevorstehenden Trip nach New York vor. Aber nicht nur New York steht am Programm, sondern auch ein kleiner Ausflug in die Hamptons, auf den wir uns fast noch mehr freuen als auf den Big Apple. Der Trip nach Long Island allein wäre ja schon cool genug, aber zusätzlich ist auch noch Memorial Day Weekend – das heißt, ganz New York wird für etliche Parties und Events nach East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Montauk etc. pilgern und die Saison am Strand eröffnen. “Going east”, wie die New Yorker es nennen. Unser Programm ist geplant, Hotel und Restaurants reserviert – jetzt fehlt nur noch ein bisschen Sonne und die richtigen Outfits. Bis dahin lassen wir uns schon mal ein bisschen inspirieren und nehmen euch schon heute mit in den beliebtesten Urlaubsort der New Yorker Society!

EN: Today we are preparing ourselves for our upcoming trip to New York. But not only New York is on the agenda, but also a short trip to the Hamptons, to which we are looking forward even more than to the Big Apple. The trip to Long Island alone would be cool enough, but it’s also Memorial Day Weekend – that means all of New York citizens will make a pilgrimage to East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Montauk etc. for several parties and events and officially open the season on the beach. “Going east,” as the New Yorkers call it.
