By now, you’ve probably come to understand that we’re big fans of regular get-togethers with our girlfriends. Nothing beats an evening of chatter about work, boys, shopping, heartbreak or anything else that pops into our heads. While usually, all you need are some drinks (lots of options HERE), take-out sushi or pizza and each others company, sometimes it is also fun to have a few special things on the agenda. Today, we’ve round up 5 great ideas and activities for your next girls night, that will still leave plenty of time to gossip, but are a little more special, while still being super budget friendly! So grab your phone, text your favorite girls and invite them over for a girls night 2.0!
1) Beauty Swap
You know those drawers in the bathroom, stuffed with make-up, skin care and lots of other things to make us pretty? Those drawers that we never touch … How about doing a beauty cleanse and taking all the things you don’t need or use to the next girls night. Who knows, maybe that perfume you don’t like could be someone else’s favorite scent! After a glas of wine or 2 it can be even more entertaining to turn the whole thing into an auction. Who’s the highest bidder? Who gets to take home that MAC eye shadow everyone wants? Going once – going twice – sold to the lady in red!
2) Wine Tasting
We wont go as far as calling ourselves experts in the vino department, but we always love trying something new! Wouldn’t it be fun to get to know a few different wines while munching on a platter of cheese? Ask each of your girls to bring their favorite bottle, and take turns testing them. Be sure to ask why this specific wine is her favorite – maybe it was the wine they had on their first date or she had in at that cute little restaurant on a trip to beautiful Mykonos?
Editor’s tip: Don’t go overboard. If you’re tasting 4-6 different wines be sure to only have 1/16 of a glass. Remember, the objective is to get to know new flavors and tastes, not to end up on the bathroom floor!
3) Party Prepping
Is your bestie getting married? Or are you planning a surprise birthday party for your favorite guy? Have your girlfriends help you with the planning. Not only is it tons of fun to talk about drinks, finger food, decorations and what to wear, but you’re also “getting work done”. Have notepads, pencils and magazines to flip through on hand and ready to go. You could also create a shared Pinterest board, where everyone can pin their ideas prior to the girls night and then you can talk them through together.
4) Book Club
Don’t be put off by the sounds of it! We know that usually you only hear about ‘book clubs’ from women who are slightly older. But believe it or not, it can actually be a lot of fun! Here are the rules: a few weeks prior to the planned book club, pick a book for everyone to read. It shouldn’t be too challenging, but still have a bit of depth to it so you’ll actually have something to discuss. Then, when you meet with your girls, talk about the plot. What could a possible sequel look like? Which actors would fit to which character in the novel if it ever made it to the big screen? Who can you relate to the most and why? It’s fun, trust us!
5) Take It Outdoors
Have you been canceling on your gatherings because of other “obligations”? Is your zumba class getting in the way of a meet-up with the girls? Here’s an idea: combine the two! Instead of sitting at home & eating unhealthy snacks, grab your favorite ladies and head outdoors. Go on a hike, try something new (hot yoga, maybe?), take a dancing class or simply go for a run and grab coffee together afterwards. We think working out together is a great way of combining girl-time with your to-do list!

Es ist eine Schande wie viel mehr ihr für den Bücherclub argumentieren müsst, weil ihr wisst, dass jeder Zweite es überlesen wird :D Dabei sind Bücher so toll und man großartig drüber sprechen :)
Tolle Ideen, werde sofort welche davon umsetzen :)
The Beauty Swap is an amazing idea! I have sooo much never-ever-used beauty stuff at home – definitely a good way to make room for new items ;)
