We don’t know about you, but during the holiday season we eat and drink more than the rest of the year combined. We get to take a few days off from work and spend time with those we love the most and usually, this procedure involves LOTS of food. Whether you’re having your friends over for a big turkey dinner, planning to spend Christmas with just your partner on a romantic date night, or if you’re sitting down for a big feast with your entire family – there will be festive dining … lots of it! We love any excuse to buy a few pretty flowers for the dining table, mix-up a delicious drink and set the table a little more special than the usual. So, we’ve decided to create a festive table arrangement for you, that takes all of 10 minutes and is sure to impress everyone!
For our look we decided to stick to an elegant setting and a few holiday classics, such as glamorous gold and a bit of festive red. The flower arrangement is super easy and doesn’t need to be done by a florist. Simply buy something seasonal, like berries or some fir branches, then add flowers of your choice to fill a vase for the center of the table. Next, try to think outside of the box for other items that could add to the festive/winter-y touch. For example, we had a sheepskin throw on hand (that usually finds it’s place on the sofa) which we draped over the table and then placed the vase on it. This instantly transforms your table into a special and fancy setting. Also, try to include some gold or silver accents. Pretty cutlery is always a good idea, but lots of candle sticks will also do the trick. Another fun idea would be our festive DIY place cards, which you could also spray-paint gold. And of course, don’t forget to use real napkins which give the whole setting a bit more depth and elegance. Last but not least, a delicious drink is always the perfect way to kick of an amazing evening – to find out what we served, be sure to check back tomorrow for our Bubbly Friday recipe.

Liebe Steffi,
Liebe Kati, liebe Vicky!
Woher habt ihr denn die drei tollen Kerzenstaender? :)
Hallo liebe AK,
die sind alle von IKEA :)
