This week we’re on a mission to finish the last of our Christmas preparations. We’re almost done with shopping for presents, now it is time to wrap them in the next few days to we can relax a bit before Christmas, when we’ll both be heading home to be with our families in Salzburg. For a little inspiration in terms of wrapping we’ve round up our favorite inspirations via Pinterest (have you seen our holiday board yet?). We both LOVE giving gifts and the entire process around it – anything from picking out the perfect present to wrapping them nicely makes us happy. We’d even go as far as to consider ourselves gift-giving-experts! So here are a few of our personal pointer for wrapping extra pretty presents this year:
– Pick between 1 to 3 kinds of wrapping paper that work well with each other! For example this year we decided to go for red & white stripes, silver with white polka dots and white with gold “merry christmas” writing.
– Choose at least 2 different ribbons that work well with your paper. If your paper is patterned, we’d recommend going for a solid satin ribbon.
– Add a special touch – sometimes we love a simple bow, but usually a little something extra is even better! Here are some ideas: homemade “to & from” tags, miniature ornaments, “angel hair” (that silver stuff), masking tape or lace.
– Take your time! Make the whole process and event, prepare some hot chocolate, put on some christmas music and have cookies ready to snack on.
