This week might as well be themed as “hello hands”: First we talked about our love for handwritten notes and letters on Sunday, then we showed you our delicate rings as yesterday’s editor’s pick, and today we’re talking nail polish. On Sunday, the new season officially kicked-off and of course we already have a few favorite nail polish shades for fall picked out for you guys.
Personally, we find ourselves drawn to darker shades of red and purple during fall, but also love shades of green or taupe for an occasional manicure. “Bahama Mama” by Essie is an all-time favorite, and we basically wear it all year long, so it is no surprise that it appears on our list. Others, like the sparkly green “Wood” by La Ric (which unfortunately was a limited edition) or “Lilas D’Exception” by Givenchy are a little more daring, but all the more fun. If you’re working in an industry where dark shades or a pop of color isn’t really an option, we’d suggest going for a classy taupe during fall. It is subtle enough to pass by as a shade of nude for the less experienced eye, but will still give you a polished look that matches the season perfectly. For those that like it darker, but don’t want to go for the Halloween black, check out “Decadent Dish” by Essie. It is also a favorite of ours that never gets old!
Another color that we’ve seen pop up a lot recently is an electric blue. We can’t quite make up our mind if we love or hate it yet, so what do you guys think? Will shades of blue be a big hit this fall? What are some other colors you’re currently loving? Feel free to comment below, we’d love to hear your suggestions!
